AI SEO Article Publisher for WordPress ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that generates SEO-optimized article drafts from a keyword using the Claude API (Anthropic) and publishes them as draft posts to a WordPress site you control. This page explains what data the extension handles, where it goes, and what it never does.

Short version: the extension does not have a server, does not collect analytics, and does not send your data to us or to any third party other than Anthropic (to generate the article) and your own WordPress site (to publish the draft). Everything you enter is stored locally in your own browser.

Information the extension stores

The following is entered by you and stored locally using Chrome's storage API (chrome.storage.sync), which Google syncs only across browsers signed into your own Google account:

Your Anthropic (Claude) API key
Your WordPress site URL, username, and application password
Optional content defaults you set: brand name, target audience, brand voice/tone

None of this is stored on any server operated by the developer of this extension — there isn't one. It lives only in your browser's local extension storage.

Information the extension transmits, and to whom

To Anthropic (api.anthropic.com): when you click "Generate Article," the keyword and other inputs you provide (brand, audience, voice, internal links, notes) are sent directly from your browser to Anthropic's API, authenticated with your own API key, to generate the article content. This is governed by Anthropic's privacy policy.
To your own WordPress site: when you click "Publish as Draft to WordPress," the generated title, slug, and article HTML are sent directly from your browser to your site's REST API (/wp-json/wp/v2/posts), authenticated with the WordPress username and application password you entered, to create a draft post.

The extension does not send any data to the developer, does not use analytics or tracking scripts, and does not share data with any other third party.

Permissions this extension requests

storage — to save your API key, WordPress credentials, and content defaults locally.
Host permission for api.anthropic.com — required to call the Claude API directly from the extension.
Optional host permission for the WordPress site you enter — requested at runtime, only for that specific domain, the first time you publish to it. This lets the extension talk to your site's REST API without requesting access to every website you visit.

Data retention and deletion

Your API key and WordPress credentials remain in local browser storage until you remove them — either by clearing the fields in the extension's Settings page, or by uninstalling the extension, which deletes all of its stored data. You can revoke your Anthropic API key at any time from the Anthropic console, and revoke the WordPress application password at any time from your site's Users → Profile → Application Passwords screen.

Children's privacy

This extension is a productivity tool intended for website operators and marketers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised date above.
